For Sale - 23ltr All Grain Setup (Hull)

Hi mark, Rather not split it up as it all works nicely together. The bit of pipe which attaches to the sparge arm is useful to the operation of the rest of the kit so without it the new owner of the equipment might have a harder time. BUT! I'm making on of the these for my new kit. I may have...

For Sale - 23ltr All Grain Setup (Hull)

Now sold. Thanks for the interest Hello everyone! As brewing is the best hobby ever, I've decided to upgrade; I'm going all shiny and high-tech. So it's time to part with my old kit. Long time members of the forum may recognise it - I bought it off a member on here, and he from a member before...

    Best pump for immersion chiller?

Have a look at counter flow chillers. It's th route I'm taking, I was worried about water wastage too. I looked into re-circulating the cooling water; +1 to the mag pump suggestion. I bought a cheap pump from ebay and tbh I've seen more water spray up from a bicycle! But seriously...

    Bottle priming techniques

I tend to use 1/2 or 1/4 teaspoon to prime; its ale, not lager - who wants it fizzy? Depends on the style though. Too tip - get a small funnel that fits into the neck of the bottle. Makes life SOO much easier when you've got 40 bottles to prime. And a set of measuring spoons helps too to make...

    Easier Labels ?

I found the milk method caused the labels to go all mouldy - what am I doing wrong? For the last batch of Gorse wine I just used sticky blank labels because I was so sick of mouldy looking homebrew - puts people off trying what's inside.

    Kettle elements

I'm looking into kettle elements as well, need 2 x 2.5KW (or there abouts) for a 100ltr boiler. Vossy did a "how to" guide ages back which had a breakdown of parts needed and suggested Baker Electrical for the elements etc: http://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=950 Not sure if...

    100ltr upgrade - help me design :)

What an epic response! Thanks for that, really informative. Glad to hear i don't need to worry about heat loss in my eventual thermopot - had a feeling it would be ok but nice to get confirmation. Think im going to make this 100ltr pot into a boiler, as the current setup I have will...
