    I'm learning to not be so worried if my brew doesn't go to plan I'm now on my 14th brew and 6 different manufacturers and to be totally honest bulldog brews have been the most accurate...I'm happy with my brews so far all have been totally drinkable 😎

    Hi Hi sorry for late reply...yes I did as instructed with second fermentation etc...it took 4 weeks to get to 1.010 so 5.3% not impressed way of the mark of 7.5% tasted ok though

    All the kits I've used so far have used dry yeast...the problem i have is in not using a heat pad or belt so I'm relying on my boiler cupboard/brew cupboard maintaining a constant temp...I think it's time to get some heating on the go as I'm really getting into it with 4 FV's on the go now...

    I know how you feel....there's a lot of people on here that are happy to help beginners like us....one thing I've learned is quite often the final gravity is unrealistically low...I find that if you sterilise all your equipment before you start a brew you can check that it's all there and fine...🍺

    I would say read through my post but I would hate to comment without your original gravity reading......if in doubt leave it and check every 2 days for drop

    I guess I'm being over optimistic these are only my 4th and 5th brews my first 2 finished at 1.008 and 3rd one at 1.012 ....I do enjoy strong tasting beers so when a brew finishes up over a third lower than stated....well time to try some others...thanks for your help i very much appreciate...

    I think Pavalijo went 6 weeks on the Youngs OG 1.056 and FG target of 1.007 so 6.5% as per advertised....I totally understand me not achieving the top of the estimate with the conditions in working with and why the hell i didn't do the quick calculation seeing i had my OG to work...

    Both the Youngs AIPA and the Muntons Belgian both say in the 20-24 deg range....so I'm definitely within range ?

    I have added nothing yet but have given them both a good stir and the Young's has started up again albeit slowly...I have made a wooden stand in the boiler cupboard seems consistent 19-21 degs 19 at 4am and 21 at 6pm (as an example).... Cheers
