When adding yeast to Beer kits is it best to just spinkle the yeast on the surface and just leave it, or is it best to stir in the yeast? I have noticed some instructions in the kits say to stir.. however I have also been told its best to just sprinkle on the surface and leave it before sealing...

Hi Everybody I am currently brewing a Woodfords Wherry Bitter kit, its been fermenting for 6 days and bubbles are still rising to the suface. Every other kit have done so far has fermented within 6 days... so is it normal for a Woodfords Wherry kit to take longer.. I haven't taken a hydrometer...

I am using the Youngs Steralizing power (mixed with warm water) to steralize my equipment. The instructions said steralize for at least 10 mins then rinse with cold water.. But surely rinsing with ordinary cold water would defeat the object of steralizing wouldn't it? normal cold water isn't...

I have a Woodfords Wherry Bitter kit brewing at the moment. It's only my 3rd brew. I made a mistake and put finings in with the wort and water (foolishly).. It was only after I had sealed the fermentation bucket that i realised what I had done, will this ruin the beer, it has seemd to ferment...

I am brand new to home brewing after buying a little kit from Wilkinsons, I am now on my forth brew and really loving it.. Did a Tom Caxton real Ale (with just normal sugar) and I was amazed at the quality of the Ale, tasted fantastic and was really strong.. I am now brewing a Woodfords Wherry...
