    Coopers Dark Ale

Just tried a bottle of this tonight (even though it's a few days early). Remember I added a tin of treacle to the proceedings?? Well it's a really good beer...lovely and sweet and smooth with a fabulous caramelly aftertaste...I reckon if I left it for another few weeks it would be fantastic but...

Anybody tried a Coopers English Bitter or Dark Ale?

I just used the kilo of fermenting sugar and a 454g tin of treacle...you're probably supposed to substitute one for the other so I'll have to see how it turns out.

Complete Coopers Premium Selection Sparkling Ale Kit

Hi everyone. Has anyone brewed a batch of this? I'm considering making a batch as a gift for my brothers 50th birthday but I need to know if it takes longer than the usual 3 weeks. Thanks.

Anybody tried a Coopers English Bitter or Dark Ale?

I've brewed a batch of the coopers dark ale with a tin of treacle added...I have to wait another week before I can drink it but I've checked the bottles a few times and it LOOKS great....I'll post you when I try it.

    Mexican Cerveza kit

Hi mate. I made a batch of this a few weeks ago...kept the temperature at between 24 and 26 and it turned out GRRRRRRRRREAT so your's will be fine...I have to say thought that I think both the Canadian blond and the Australian lager are nicer brews but to each their own...enjoy.

Coopers dark - in cheap plastic bottles

Just one more thing....how many carbonation drops should I use? I'm thinking 2 per litre bottle...does that sound right

Coopers dark - in cheap plastic bottles

Thanks guys. Yes Hollow legs...it is those bottles I'm using too...I'll try to avoid the raspberry ones...hard to believe that the container has more value than the product!

Coopers dark - in cheap plastic bottles

Hi any/every one. I've started a batch of the above...was hoping to give it to a friend as a birthday present so I've saved up some fizzy-water bottles (sainsburys flavoured water....I've taken off the labels and printed new ones!) so I can give the present without worrying about getting the...

    Coopers Canadian Blonde

Sod it. Once the bubbling dies down again I'm bottling! If you hear a news headline saying "Belfast man killed by exploding beer bottles" then you'll know it was a bit premature.

    Coopers Canadian Blonde

Unbelievable....the airlock stopped bubbling after 2 and a half days...I left it overnight...came back the next day and its bubbling away again. Maybe the yeast fell asleep??!!

    Coopers Canadian Blonde

I think it was 1055....not completely sure about that...never really understood the whole hydrometer readings thing... Usually I just make the batch...leave it (approx) the 5-7 days...if the airlock is still then Bob's your uncle...and thus far it has worked well. Perhaps more analysis is needed.

    Coopers Canadian Blonde

Hi all. I started a batch of coopers canadian blond (with some added honey) on Tuesday afternoon. It's now Wednesday evening...for the first day and a half the airlock bubbled away and now its slowing down...almost to the point where I reckon that within the next 24 hours it will be finished...

    Brew No.6 - Mexican Cerveza

I'm watching the footie tonight with my freshly made batch. Tastes great...quite light and very smooth....a lot smoother than the aussie lager.

    Hello all

Cheers for that eddie! And for the little piece of education...you really do learn something new every day. I'll let you know how it tastes in a few weeks...can't imagine it'll last very long!

    Hello all

Can anyone tell me......I've started a Coopers Mexican cerveza (with added treacle). It's been going since Thursday...I checked it today and the room STINKS of an eggy smell....have I made a cock-up? The airlock is still bubbling away....is this batch still OK do you think?

    Hello all

Sounds good. Is there a limit to how much extra "sweet stuff" you can add before you ruin the brew? I've just bottled a Coopers Mexican cerveza and it seems ok but I tasted a little and it seemed a little bland. I started another but this time added 1/2 a tin of treacle...anything else I can...

    Hello all

Hi. I'm a new bee brewer. I bought a coopers kit with the Australian Lager and made my first batch but sneakily added half a tin of Treacle to the brew....it tastes great
