Space is my issue, only room for a small fermentation fridge. So I'm not fussed about big batches. I thinking with a sparge. From what I have seen 2.7l to 3l per kg for grain initially.

It's an interesting read this, I currently have a 35 litre brewzilla on order. Main reason was I was worried about customer service from hopcat. However now I'm thinking 45l will give me more capacity for larger grain bills. Im looking at 23l batches Do I stick or twist?

You can tilt it slightly in the stand to lower the height a little depending on your batch size. This diagram helped me, so I thought I would share it. Clearance wise at the bottom is only a finger width, when the stand is inverted. Handy people have cut holes in a wooden shelf for the fridge...

Yeah when you said inverted, I thought you meant the fermenter which is why I was confused. 😂 Ive found a Fridge and they quoted 53cm from the compressor bump to the top. Do you think that will fit with the spigot on top?

You can thread another spigot to the top, Long term, closed transfers is the aim and this should make it alot easier. I would post a link to youtube to show the process, however I'm new and not sure if that is allowed. I've searched the internet and found a picture of one in a fridge. Looked...

Thanks for the quick reply, unfortunately I don't have room for a larder. I thought it would be tight, initially I was thinking a blow off from a spigot fitted to the top, which will increase the height a little bit more.

I'm looking to buy a secondhand undercounter fridge to convert to a fermentation chamber and upgrading to a 30l Speidal. Height: 47 cm Diameter: 34 cm, without the airlock. I am just wondering if anyone has this set up working, before I buy the fermenter and start looking for a fridge. Thanks Z
