    More Jacko allegations

I think with regards to the 'why come out of the wood word and tell all now' question, I guess we only have to look at the likes of Harris, Savile, Glitter & Weinstein (allegedly) et al for this to make sense.

    Clearing pineapple TC

Just looked in my brew room and the apple and pineapple is going mental, foaming out of the airlock and there are big lumps of debris billowing around the DJ like a bloody snow globe. ashock1 I think this is going to be a very interesting TC. None of my apple or apple and mixed fruit have blown...

    Long hot summer

After the heat wave last year I'm working on stocking up on summer ales. A lot of my brews last summer were fermenting quite high, some at 28c!! but still turned out drinkable, not fantastic though. Is anyone else planning on bulk brewing in case we have another hot summer?

    More Jacko allegations

Being such an influential figure in modern music, you would hope that the accusations are baseless, however all of these allegations do make you wonder. also, I know that Neverland is quite a vast estate, but I'm not sure he was guilty of deforestation whilst building it aunsure....

    AG#9 Greg Hughes Mild

Almost 1 in 3 of my brews are Milds. Grew up on Ansells, M&B and Bank's mild, lovely session beer all year round. The GH recipe looks sounds enough, so you should have a good brew there. GW also has a couple a great Mild recipes in his book, Bank's and Hanson's version, these are well worth a...

Finally kegged my IPA (will it be ok?)

You might find that the beer will start fobbing at 40psi. I would vent of the keg, then reset the gauge to the desired pressure. The brew should be well carbed by now.

    More Jacko allegations

I've just read that a new documentary due to be aired soon will show two new accusers of Michael Jackson discussing how he (allegedly) groomed and sexually abused them. The independent has stated that coincidentally radio 2 have not included any of Jacko's solo recording since the announcement...

    I got floaters

I brewed a Guinness clone and my own recipe stout back in December. Of the brews that went into bottles every one appears to have small phlegm like floaters in the neck, which raise to the head once poured. The taste is fine, but I'm not happy with these greasy looking floaters in my beer...

    Square bottles

Oh dear, nothing worse than bottle bombs going off indoors. At least you have some in the keg to look forward to though.

The Prodigy's Keith Flint dies aged 49

@DavidHatton Metal and rave eh. In the 90's (92 if i recall) I was involved with putting on one of the biggest indoor raves of it's time, billed as Judgement Day at Stafford Bingly Hall. Along with a top line up of DJs we pulled in Altern 8 (a couple of Staffs Ladsathumb..) to open and we got...

The Prodigy's Keith Flint dies aged 49

I went to (too) many raves in the late 80's and early 90's, and prodigy were always there playing or just raving (in the early days) with the rest of us. A true party starter that's a fact. Very sad news.

Not that I'm a religious type, me and SWMBO are getting the keys next week to a commercial premises, which we are opening as a smokehouse and diner. So going to be super busy getting it ready for Easter opening. I might start a photo blog of the...

    Fireworks sales could be banned.

Now there's a thought. I can't recall the last time I've seen a bunch of kids pushing around a cobbled together effigy of Guy Fawks asking for a penny!
