    ok guy's so i just want a no fuss medium tb so (a)whats the best yeast for this and (b) how many litres concoentrate for five gallons or is the later a stupid question!!! :whistle:

    been looking around the supermarket for apple juice but can only find concentrate is this any good for making cider. i really want to make 5 gallons from the fruit but don't have a fruit press so I'm looking for alternative ways anyone got any idea's :hmm:

    many thanks i allready use 2 tin kits woodfords nelsons revenge but i also do a john bull cider thought i could maybe improve that but it seems golden syrup is not the answer

    i hear that golden syrup can be used instead of sugar in my brews (only using kits at the moment). WELL THREE THINGS I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW.... 1. how much syrup would it take to replace 1 kilo of sugar 2. could it be used in cider 3. how would it affect the colour and flavour of the finished...

    can i use fining's when i make a kit ale if i intend to bottle it or will it get rid of the yeast that i want to condition the beer? :hmm:

    amber cider

    recently i made a couple of brews of cider OK i know they were from kits (john bull) but the have a very pale colour to them is there a way to get a good amber colour to them ? also if i make it from fresh apples will it naturally have the desired colour ?

    looking for step by step

    hi can anyone help I've just started brewing from kits on my third now done a bit before but that was 15 yrs ago. anyway I'd like to have a go at making all grain ales can anyone recommend a good step by step book that will put me on the right tracks.
