My first brew was a Hoppy Copper. Its currently in the pressure keg though I think I buggered it up. I'll find out in two weeks when I take my 1st sips.

Morning all, I racked up my first brew last night (the Wilko's Hoppy Copper Bitter) and after cleaning out the FV I thought it'd be a shame to leave it empty (plus I'd bought a second one earlier in the day) so I cracked open the stout kit and got on with it. I slightly under filled it to 21...

The surface isn't foamy as such but there are lots of bubbles covering it. The temp is usually 20 through the day and 18 / 19 in the evening / through the night.

Cheers Flood. Bricking it as its my 1st one. I get that whatever happens I learn something but I really to be able to drink my 1st pint and be proud. Not spray it on my chips :D

I fear I may have completely ruined my first attempt at home brewing. I siphoned a little off this evening to get a hydrometer reading (I think it was 1.10 or something). I checked the sample which was cloudy as hell and had an 'odd' smell to it. I thought I'd have a little sip to put my mind...
