Ahh thanks so much guys, much appreciated advice. Is the hydrometer to test the alcohol content? and when is this done, once it is syphoned into the keg?, might leave the thermometer, as im in a one bed flat and cant really control the temp of it, but will look into these campden tablets to...

Great info guys, will read the how to lists and look into the +1 for nelsons. In the past ive always used pressure barrels, fermenting bins, cleaning kits, syphon tubes and ofcourse a beer kit, i think this will be a great hobby for over the winter, imagine having 3 kegs running at once...

Hi Gang . i', a new brewer,well from 15 yearys ago, it all has seemed to channge. I',M into pressure barellls and pressure fermenting barrels, used to brew strong lagers, stouts and ciders, I undersatand things have changed, heat belts and other fermentation devices, fermentation barrells...
