thanks for your quick response! only used same sugar as normal. chill on back doorstep with the weather!! colder than cellar! maybe i'll leae it a bit longer to see if it settles - hope it's not infected, what a waste!! :cheers:

Hi all, have been brewing with Youngs bitter kits for 12 months now. have had some great beers, including adding some brew malt for taste and strength. Last brew tho' as soon as you pop it, it starts mega frothing, dragging up all the sediment and turning into nothing more than froth!!! gutted...

Hi, I know this might sound a bit blonde, but I've added an air valve to the top of my plastic fermenting bin on the advice of my brew shop. Thing is, do I put the top on it or leave it off!! Cheers people, in advance. :cheers:

Hi all, verrrryyy new to this - brewing and the forum thingy - just put in my first bucket of bitter. Looking at Old home wrecker for my next brew. Anyone tried this one, or any suggestions for a good real ale? Only got basic equipment tho' - will I need further stuff for Real Ale brewing? Hope...

Well, just put the lid on my first ever barrel of bitter and can't wait to get that one out and start another!! Looking at old home wrecker - anyone brewed it before? all I've got at the moment is a fermenting bin, hydrometer and bottles with capper. Will I need further equipment to do a good...
