    Bottling From Pressure Barrel

Hmm, I'm not really sure if that has answered my question. Hopefully this explains it better: what I'm wondering is if I can use my pressure barrel as it was intended but if I need a bottle or two bottled is there any problem with just pouring into a bottle as if it was a glass and then...

    Bottling From Pressure Barrel

Is it possible to bottle from a pressure barrel after it has been primed and pressurized? Also, I'm assuming there's nothing wrong with using a pressure barrel as a bottling bucket (and bottling the whole brew)? Would rather use that than have to install a tap in one of my FVs.

    Thorn Electrim Boiler

I'm thinking of buying one of these and using it for BIAB. Does anyone have any experience of this? They sell a bag specifically for the boiler so I was thinking of mashing with that, then just removing the bag, topping up the water a bit if needed and then boiling? Would this work? Really...

    small batch brewing

Is it possible to do 23L extract batches in a 15L stockpot and just add the rest of the water to the fermenter? Would probably help to cool the wort as well?

    Moving Beer After Fermentation

So my latest brew has finished fermenting, and I was planning on bottling it today but unfortunately I wasn't able to buy a capper. Instead I decided to buy another fermenting bin and I plan on moving the beer to that for another week or so until I can get a capper. I was just wondering...

    Fermentation Not Started

So I've not had a chance to check the brew for the past couple of days. Checked it now and it's bubbling away rather nicely! :D So I can only assume that it was fermenting before and just wasn't showing any visible signs of it.

    Fermentation Not Started

Ah, that'll be the problem then. Didn't really realise how important it is to get the wort back down to temperature quickly, my attempt obviously wasn't good enough! I've ordered more yeast so hopefully it should be ok once I get that in. Don't think I'm going to bother boiling can kits in...

    Fermentation Not Started

No foam on the top at all. I'm going to take a reading tonight and see if the gravity has dropped at all. Thanks for the help!

    Fermentation Not Started

I'm new to homebrewing, and on Saturday I brewed my second batch of beer, a Young's Harvest Bitter kit. I boiled the malt extract in about three gallons of water and then added it to two gallons of cooled, boiled water. I rehydrated my yeast and used 1kg of brewing sugar. I thought I'd done...
