These rotary syphon pumps look a neat idea.

Hand crank operates the planetary gear pump, then a half turn starts or stops syphon flow. And it's just a (removeable) silicone tube to clean, which sounds much better than the other auto-syphons I've seen.
Just not sure, what diameter silicon tube it uses, or would fit.

But, is anywhere selling them to the UK, at the moment?
The BrewEngineering etsy shop, where there's also a video, seems on long term holiday.
Siphon pump
 
If it's a siphon pump, it'll just be used to prime the siphon, not necessarily do a bulk transfer. Presumably once gravity takes over the siphon, you can stop pumping

It also looks like the kind of thing it would be easy to 3d print if you have a printer

Yes, mainly for priming, but pump angle, also seems to act as flow switch.

I would call it a sYphon priming pump, pronounced sigh-phon. And pronounce siphon, as sip-hon.

⬆️ They are designed for a completely different purpose which doesn't enable syphon flow.
This does not start and stop a syphon flow. It's designed to be accurate not quick.

I have tried and own many pumps for this hobby, from 2inch downwards.
A pumped syphon is a brilliant time saving thing, typically a 12v whale Sub or inline pump awesome.

These have no place.
 
Watching the video on the Etsy site, the pump is used to draw sufficient wort from the kettle to prime the syphon. The front cover can be rotated 180 degrees and releases a flap at the top of the pump body and in doing so releases the “squash” on the tubing allowing the liquid to flow freely. Neat idea. Probably the feature that has a patent pending as peristaltic pumps have been around for years.
 
Yes, it's a nice little design. You can also rotate the pump a bit so that it continues to squash the tube, which well then block the flow and stop your siphon (and then act like a normal peristaltic pump). Very clever. Far cleverer than the comments on here that don't understand how this particular variant works.
 
Nice thing, is that it's only a silicone hose to clean and sterilise.
While other pumps, aĺl a pain to keep clean.

I'd rather spend 30seconds priming, than hours extra, sterilising.
 
After a few days of over-complicated (did I just say that?) thinking I hit on a non-rotary approach but using the same principle. The Buffers brewery Syphon Mangle 😂. Needs a bit more work to make it easier to use but that's a project for after Boxing day.
