This weekend will be my first brew after a couple of month's hiatus due to an extended hospital stay.. Good to get back to it!
Aiming for a very 'English' style golden ale. If I can gather the bits and pieces needed to use with a corny keg, I'll serve this through a beer engine I picked up last weekend. Bought off Ebay and looks to be in surprisingly good order.

Just after a bit of feedback on this hop schedule..
Grain bill just Maris Otter & wheat. Yeast will be WLP041.

Haven't done a golden ale (yet). But for amber ales, I'd started edging towards a lower BU/GU, the last being 0.56. Usually just with boil hops, @60 & 15min., though once with half of the EKG as dry hop.

Would be interesting to hear what effect the hopstand gives, especially if you've tried same recipe without hopstand, before.

Your amber ale sounds similar to my best bitter. Lower BU/GU with only two hop additions. Works really nicely with a good English yeast!

Aiming for something crisper and hop forward with this one. Will update on the results!

I did a hopstand/whirlpool @75c for 30 minutes on a Tribute style beer as per a recipe I had found and it was really good the flavours where good and soft with not too much bitterness
