Why didn't Sir Rodney speak out when it happened? After all he had nothing to lose.

A complaint was made at the time.

But in an interview for BBC News last week, Kirsty Wark, the former Newsnight host, described how when she was a contestant on Celebrity MasterChef in 2011, she complained to the production company about the show’s co-presenter Gregg Wallace. She thought a sexualised monologue he delivered early one morning on set was so ill-judged that it made her angry, and worried that staff on short-term contracts would not feel able to object.

They may be able to intimidate lower down the 5hitheap employees into keeping quiet but Rod is an independent, well known person as is Mrs Rod. If he thought it was that out of order surely he would have kicked off?
If you was out and about or indeed your other half came home from work and said some chap was waving his dick about, saying inappropriate stuff or being insulting what would you do?

I wouldn't go and punch him. I'd contact his employer. And take it from there.

I don't recall any videos or photos of Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby and other high profile cases. I may be wrong and have missed them, but just have never seen or heard of any. Coincidentally in Weinstein's case, the initial accusations came from 12 women.
Harvey Weinstein was identified by the scars on his scrotum that was taken as proof that he had exposed himself , this gave the witness credibility on the stand and only then can it be treated as proof.

Bill Cosby accusation that got over turned did it not dates back to 1975 - no mobiles then where as the wagatha mess the social media and text records provide hard proof

again not saying it did not happen i just find it odd the accusations from those who live in the media spotlight glued to their phones but no evidence to show, its very easy to smear someone in the media

Most likely mobiles banned due to the secrecy needed for prerecorded. Plus contracts, NDAs? &etc re secrecy? You don't see any positive pics /clips except provided by the company

yes agree on set mobiles might be banned what i was meaning is if these incidents took place took place as alleged, would there be no call. or message evidence ie to a partner or a superior, even meeting requests can be used as evidence of reporting the issue.

i have no idea of the truth and probably something happened, we will never know all i am saying is there needs to be something that substantiates that claim normally.

I am not saying this from criminal law standpoint as I am not qualified, but in terms of employment law< i would argue some further evidence is needed to tip the balance of probability, for example if he had been accused or disciplined previously by his employer this will not be pubic record but can be used to evidence a pattern of behaviour

It seems that there is a record of letters of complaint/concern sent dating back iirc 10 years or so.

(neat Freudian slip in your reply!!)

So,if his employers have had "10 years of complaints and letters" and done very little as it seems(what's he had,10 final, final, that's yer last, written warnings)? What's changed? They can hardly say.."listen Greg...we told you 10 years ago to put your todger away.."

Employment law is not the same as criminal law so they can rightly sight gross misconduct and terminate employment if they can show a pattern of behaviour with continued breach of policy

Yeah I know...but 10 years! That's totally ignoring any issues and chronic management. I wonder if they even told him of the complaints....probably not.
Be like turning up late...every day for 10 years and nothing said then you get hauled in and the hr comes up with some halfarsed story about your time keeping, making out that they're doing a great job and that you're the biggest barsteward in the company and they're not having any of it,coz they knew about it for 10 years and blah blah blah...
If his bosses knew about it and did nothing they're just as bad.
