I’ve used it in the past and it’s been good, no issues. Though I’ve only tried Pale Whale (25kg).

Well I used it, and it’s been a success. Wife had a pint out of the barrel when bottling with no negative effects. Thanks @The-Engineer-That-Brews 👍 I also got some small stainless measuring spoons to make ease of addition easier. I expect an overdose by a little will not have any negative...

The only problem I see now is that they are now in the back end of Colne, so collection is now a pain in the bum.

    Brew2Bottle Customer Service

Your go to kit apple cider?

All what is your go to kit cider? I’ve tried the Mangrove Jacks Apple, and most recently the Festival kit. my preference is the MJ one as I find the Festival kit to have a chemically taste (sweetener?) or forced apple flavour.

Thanks all, looks like we are all on the same wavelength, 75% of what you have advised is what I have in my basket. I am going down the Golden Promise base malt route for a change and in the 25kg sack.

    Go to grains and hops

What are your go to grains and hops that you always have in your inventory. I am putting a bulk order in, and I am looking for suggestions, Pale malt I am good with, it’s the “others” you have? Cascade/Citra/Magnum and Target is what I already have.

    Failed bottle priming

I found it has taken around 6 weeks for my Barley Wine to carb up. I was worried at one point, so I inverted them all a couple of times and they are now going to be ideal for Christmas.
