Looks lovely, @MrRook , I'm always looking for a decent bitter recipe so I might give that one a go.
Does <5% MO really make a difference?
Why did you choose a Kolsch yeast?
The MO was merely added to get the O G up over 1.040. All my beers planned for this year will be using only MO and no American pale ale malts.
The kolsch was used because my fermenting area is 60f which is mid-range for this yeast. It's a fairly clean yeast so won't get in the way of the malt or hops.

I love kolsch yeast and use it quite a lot, but I've never used it in a bitter. No good reason not to try it this time. Thanks for replying.
