Just tried my Razorback & must say its a lovely pint. Its been in the bottles for 3 weeks but I couldn’t resist any longer! Only thing is it hasn‘t cleared & is quite hazy. Is this normal for this kit?

The airlock is level on both sides (where as normally by this time it’s showing signs of expelling gas). But given the hydrometer readings it’s obvious fermenting. So maybe just how this kit is! I currently have a St Peters golden ale in the FV. I started it 7 days ago & the SG was 1046. Checked it this morning & it was 1014. I didn’t check it between this time so can’t help you by saying how much it changed after the first 3 days though! Will prob give it another 3 more days & re-check it.

Bit of an old thread but, the Wherry that you buy in pubs or mini casks is actually 3.8%. I’ve been told that the ABV has to be changed to get it to taste similar (or as near as possible). So if your Wherry came out at 3.8% or above & tasted good, then happy days! A few years back I asked this...

Currently drinking the honey porter at the moment. Can’t say I’m getting a soap taste, but i would agree that its somehow artificial & the honey is overpowering (both smell & taste). Also a bit sweet for me. Will def try the cream stout next as that seems to get good recommendations.
