    Refreshing a brew in keg

Hi All I'm just reading around and got me thinking, I've about 1/3 brew left in King keg. The beer is OK nothing special but drinkable. I'm was wondering, could I open the top C02 add some dry hops to and then force pressure? Would this kill it or give a new lease of life?

    Hops tips please

Thanks all So, brewday next Friday. I'm making 2 batches of coopers carveza and coopers lager 23ltrs each. I'm thinking of trying a mix of Saaz and Hersbtucker A 20g Saaz 40g Hersbrucker for 1 and vice versa for other. Is 60g a good amount? I'll be dry hopping using a hop bag. Last time...

    Bottle priming

Thanks Twostage I've always felt rocking to not be essential and risks oxygenating my brew.. I think I'll use the fining in the fermenter once primary is finished and as you suggest leave it a while longer before bottling.

    Bottle priming

It's a curious method using soda stream but seen someone doing it on YouTube... I've got the stuff so might try a couple bottles on next batch. I'm thinking, a blast of C02 might purge the bottle of oxygen which eoukd be very helpful but you'd have to then make sure you don't over prime the...

    Bottle priming

Hi All I've been doing OK priming my bottles with sugar or drops getting a good result matching the brew style. Although sediment isn't massive it's still a neusence... I'd like to find a way to reduce or remove it for a crystal clear fizzed lager or cider. I've seen some people injecting...

    Brewing kits

I made the Woodfords Bure Gold last year it came out very good - I then made the Coopers Euro lager, but as I tend to enjoy a hoppy beer I pimped it up with malt extract and hops using the M52 California lager yeast. It did come out excellent, although a tad pungent from way too much hops...

    Airlock v sealed feementing

That's interesting I took the chemical TCP kind of smell to be from oxygen in beer but... its only the bottle brew that went bad the rest in barrel has turned out pretty well. wonder if I didn't rinse well enough after sterilizer and the solution messed up in the bottles? I was over zealous...

    Airlock v sealed feementing

Thanks all, what's the thoughts on fermenter like the coopers krousen collar? That's seems very different to a bucket and the lid apparently allows for C02 to escape. But its an opaque container does that impact anything? I've had 1 batch go bad, I think during racking too much Oxygen...

    Airlock v sealed feementing

From what i understand yes the C02 is a barrier (please do correct me if wrong), my concern was if too much C02 builds with no outlet would it then pollute the brew? Being new I'm still learning, only one batch went bad from too much oxygen so wanna avoid that again
