    Brew Keg Tap corny kegs

I have 2 of them. Slight dents in the wall, nowhere near the weld, easily pressed out. No problems over the 2 years that I've had them.

    Water report Cornwall

Following this thread with interest. I'm in St Austell and just started researching water treatment.

    Kegerator build

I decided on a full height larder fridge that popped up on Marketplace for £60. Used a heated bradawl to get through the sidewall inside plastic skin, then poked around until I was happy there were no pipes before drilling through the tin outside skin. Taps are on the door. The advantage to me...

    Brewzilla gen 4.1?

I think the false bottoms with the single pull ring are slightly smaller outside diameter. The ones with double pull rings were larger and proved difficult to get out and kept bending.

    Sparge methods

I usually sparge by pouring from a jug straight onto the grain bed, but I'm wondering if I would get more efficiency if I put the top plate onto the grain bed and sparged through that? Can anyone suggest a reason not to do it that way? Also, if I were to 'squeeze' the grain after sparging by...

Torrified wheat to aid head retention

I hadn't, does that have the same effect without affecting the taste etc?

Torrified wheat to aid head retention

Thankyou, that'll give me a good starting point.

Torrified wheat to aid head retention

Excellent thankyou. Do you have an approximate % of Torrified that you use?

Torrified wheat to aid head retention

I'm going to try adding Torrified wheat to my Old Speckled Hen recipe when I next brew it, to try and help the head retention in a Corny Keg. Can anyone advise on quantity to try? My normal grain bill for a 23L brew in my Brewzilla Gen 4 is 3.4Kg Pale Maris Otter & 340g Crystal Dark. Also...

    'Apollo' Stainless Steel

Just my 2" tri-conical lid so I could use existing hop bong and butterfly valve etc. All 2" triconical so there may be an adaptor available for the Titan.

    'Apollo' Stainless Steel

Can anyone advise, does the Titan take the same lid as the All Rounder? I'm looking at my next fermentation vessel and would prefer not to have to replace all my current all rounder 'extras".

BZ gen 4 heat diffuser plate. A question re fitment.

Mine has a half circle cutout that clears the inbuilt temp probe. Sits flat on the three feet with no wobbling.

Brewzilla Gen 4 - Struggling to get to boil point

I am watching this thread with great interest. I too am a new BZ Gen 4 owner, and new to all grain brewing after doing extract kits for many years. My first brew (Citra SMASH) in my Gen 4 was 'an experience', with mash temps over and under shooting, which took a lot of fiddling with heater % to...

    Equipment Wanted Beer engine

I use a beer engine from one of my Corny Kegs. Just need to keep the carbonation low. I try to force carbonate around 2-3psi only. It does work very well though. I have mine set right next to my serving fridge, so only about 2 feet of pipe outside the fridge.

    Morning from Somerset

I can highly recommend the Muntons Flagship Hazy IPA and West Coast IPA. Ive been making them for 2 years and they are excellent and very consistent.

    Why do you brew?

I'm an engineer and enjoy the whole brewing process, building up the kit, making it work, getting the process correct, and challenging myself to make better beer than I can get in the pub. Also being a Yorkshireman living in Cornwall......it makes my 'beer habit' more affordable as I really do...

Brewzilla Gen 4 tight false bottom

My Gen 4 false bottom is very tight, almost at the point that it bends when I remove it. I do have a heat exchanger plate bolted to it but this is smaller so doesn't affect the tightness. Anyone else found this?
