    Co2 for pressure fermentation

With a fermzilla you will need a co2 cylinder to transfer. You could take the lid off and siphon but that would mean pressure fermentation was pointless. Dont bother with soda stream bottles. Expensive co2 and not very useful. Can serve ready carbonated beer but not much use for pressure...

    Flow control ball lock disconnects

They work but, as with flow control taps, are no substitute for good line balancing.

    XL Bully

Don't know about that. For what other purpose are they bred? They are bred with every attribute you would want in a killer dog. If you got the Adrian Newey of dog designers to design a dog with the single purpose of agression and ability to kill humans and anything else that moves they'd come up...

    Idaho 7 cryo NEIPa

just saw an interview with a US brewer who specialises in NEIPA's and he mentioned using a touch of crystal in it too for colour but also for a bit of flavour too to take the edge off the sweetness. Might be worth a go next time.

    Lid on or off?

The lid isn't going to stop you losing hop aroma, though good to have the lid on as it reduces temperature loss and prevents airborne stuff from dropping into your wort. Once the aroma has escaped from the wort rather than being dissolved within it then it's gone. The lid doesn't stop that. I...

    Adding Grapefruit peel/juice to fermentor

Well flavourings are not all created equal, it's like vanilla essence vs extract. One is a fake flavouring and one is real vanilla in concentrate form, think extract is good and essence is bad...cant remember. Fruit juice is mostly water anyway, like 90%, so if you can get it in a form with...

    Death by cycle.

Ah there you go....a perfect example of the bias people can get when tensions are stoked up between different groups. Guilty as charged. But the discussion did focus on vigilante cyclists reporting drivers and implying police don't properly review and assess complaints and just rubber stamp...

    Death by cycle.

why would you assume ‘he got done’? You suggesting the police didn’t look at the video and assess it in some way? How many drivers passed that cyclist on that particular ride? Did he report every single driver who passed him that day? Why single out that one driver out of the dozens who passed...

    Is it worth it?

they seem to work just fine by all accounts. Personally my view is fermentation is where it's at so best to direct the bulk of whatever your budget is towards fermentation. That is where the beer is made and usually where spoiled beer is spoiled.

    Death by cycle.

Just as long as the police equally ignore the complaints and camera footage submitted from drivers showing cyclists behaving badly as much as they ignore reports and camera footage submitted from cyclists showing drivers behaving badly.

    Death by cycle.

When it comes to the classic lycra clad keen cyclist then the chances are they are already insured. Either by personal insurance or via membership to organisations like British Cycling or via the training app Strava, which the vast majority of keen cyclists will use. But just as with cars, the...

    Vegans

Well this might be a fabricated story or not, but really? you'd seriously ask your neighbours to immediately stop their BBQ with the family all sat out in the back garden, the garden table all laid with salad, snacks, condiments and all the other accoutrements that come with a BBQ with everyone...

    Cashless pub.

A retailer can choose the method of payment and perfectly entitled to not accept a particular form of payment for whatever reason they like. I haven't used cash for years...all via my phone. Haven't even carried a wallet or cards around with me for years and never had a problem. Even in the...

    Tilt/Grainfather temperature anomalies!

Well the temp sensor in the GF conical fermentor is at the bottom in the cone which is heated. It sees the change in temp before the beer above it does and gets covered in trub that is bound to have an insulating affect. The tilt is floating on top and partly submerged in the beer and a little...

    British Hops

I did a pretty good batch with Harlequin. Based it on a more traditional British IPA recipe (think it was a Timothy Taylor clone recipe) but switched out the hops with Harlequin.
